Grew Up

Beauty lost in a forgotten realm
We grew up so fast
Holding hands
Skateboarding became a past time
Then a small life of crime

It was just us two
Then out of the blue
The world flashed
Yet we crashed
In other places unseen

The blood never comes clean
But it's the memories
That are worth the dreams
Of all the times unseen

Nights spent under streetlights
Walking in our own brights
Laughter overcoming us
As we chase down the bus

Sitting on park benches
Never trusting our hunches
Forgetting the world around
Only the two of us are in sound

Love separating by miles
Yet we're still in our own styles.
